Corporate social responsibility

A good work ethic has been a key to our success.
We're continually supporting our employees, local initiatives and suppliers whilst striving to minimise our carbon footprint.

Our commitment

Here at Strike Designs we are committed to managing and delivering our operations in a socially responsible way, adding real world value to our work ethics and the services we provide to our clients.

We pride ourselves on collaborating with our local communities both in Essex and Hertfordshire, focusing on working in partnership with projects that support our business, personal and industry values. This year we are supporting initiatives which focus on:

Organisations that care for and support individuals who have a physical disability

IT Literacy
Organisations that support individuals and/or groups to develop their IT literacy skills

Organisations that support and promote the use of clean and renewable energy sources

Our practices

We will not knowingly provide support or work with businesses or organisations which:

  • fail to uphold basic human rights within their sphere of influence
  • businesses or organisations with links to an oppressive regime
  • do not support the Fundamental International Labour Organisation Conventions, including standards for minimum labour rights, cover the use of forced labour, use of child labour, collective bargaining and freedom of association
  • are involved in the manufacture or transfer of armaments to oppressive regimes
  • are involved in the manufacture of torture equipment or other equipment that is used in the violation of human rights.

We hold robust policies which we provide the backbone of our governance and support the day to day operation of our business. Our key policies are:

  • Health & Safety - guidelines for how we identify, monitor and implement a safe environment
  • Equal Opportunities - guidelines for how we approach equalities and diversity in all areas of our business operations
  • Data Protection - guidelines for how we protect and monitor our staff and client information
  • This year we are also developing the following policies:

  • Home working - guidelines around how our staff work and operate from their homes, including security and personal safety
  • Flexible working - guidelines around how our staff manage their work/life balance

Equality & Diversity
We will always strive to be objective and our services, actions or recommendations will never be influenced by issues of sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, race, ethic origin, disability, religion or religious beliefs. Please also see our equal opportunities policy

We're continually striving to minimise our carbon footprint whilst supporting local suppliers. Our environmental policies include:

  • Power consumption - all non-essential computers, hardware, air-conditioning and telephony systems are switched off at the mains at the end of every working day and are only turned on when required
  • Re-using and recycling- where possible all of our supplies are from ethical and sustainable sources and created using recycled material

All of our waste is recycled accordingly, including expired computer hardware and technology. Waste paper is shredded and then composted by one of our directors!
  • Local initiatives - where possible supplies and resources are sourced locally and in the future we plan to become more involved in local initiatives
